2026 Essex County Parks and Recreation Summer Camp!!!!
General Information
- You must create an account to sign your child up for camp.
- There are NO refunds for absences from camp.
- There are NO daily or semi weekly sign ups for camp.
- The camps include games, crafts, sports, and swimming.
- The camps will be held at James Carey Intermediate School.
- Staff are NOT permitted to dispense medications.
- Registration opens on Nov. 3, 2025. There will be only 25 spots per session.
- There will be 8 week sessions that will start June 1 and run until July 24th.
- We do reading and math time each day with the campers in order to help the children retain their school work.
- Weather permitting, the children will have pool time Tuesday - Friday.
- The children should dress in play cloths and wear tennis shoes because we play inside and outside and get dirty.
- We want the children to have fun and learn. ECPR does have the right to expel a child from camp, that staff feels warrants us to do so. Disruptive behavior and or behavior that could endanger other campers or staff will not be tolerated.

- During the camp hours for information about your child – Please call the Parks and Recreation Office at 445-0303 or 466-1236.
- We will also have Reading time each day so if your child has a special book that they are reading have them bring it – if not books will be provided. All campers will be working on their Summer Reading List!!
- Campers will also be working on their Math skills during the week.
- Please Remember that children are not allowed to bring cell phones, electric devices, or games to camp! We will not be responsible for them.
- PLESAE PACK A LUNCH AND A SNACK FOR THE AFTERNOON.
- The Essex County Camp Staff reserves the right to search your child’s belongings if we have just cause.
- Be sure you have entered your child's medical allergies or special medical conditions into their profile.
- ECPR does have the right to ban a child from camp that staff feels warrants us to do so. Disruptive behavior and or behavior that could endanger other campers or staff will not be tolerated.
